Luggage Repair Services Overview

Luggage repair typically consists of wheel, pull handle, carry handle, sliders, pull tab, re-setting locks, stitching and zipper repair.  We are an authorized repair center for several major brands including; Samsonite, Hartmann, American Tourister, Delsey and Ricardo.  We often have parts available to fit and repair many other brands.  Visit one of our luggage repair centers near you.

Samsonite Authorized Repair Center & Policy

Your luggage has a warranty which covers manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. Our warranty does not cover repairs resulting from carrier damage, misuse or neglect of the product, normal wear and tear, or repairs beyond the warranty period.

The warranty is utilized through our authorized repair centers. The authorized repair center will make the determination whether the damage is due to a manufacturing defect. If it is a manufacturing defect, they will repair your luggage and bill Samsonite directly. If it is not repairable they will order you a replacement bag. If they feel it is not a manufacturing defect, they will contact you with an estimate before making any repairs to your luggage.

To receive warranty service, please take or ship your product to one of our authorized repair centers. If a repair facility is not convenient for you, you may complete the Repair Request Form and ship the luggage to the nearest authorized repair center.

Hartmann Authorized Repair Center & Policy

The Authorized Repair Center will make the final determination on the status of the product with the possible following outcomes:

- If the product is repairable and covered under warranty, the product will be repaired at Hartmann's expense and returned to you.

- If the product is not repairable and is covered under warranty, the same product will be sent directly to you if it is in stock.  If the product is unavailable, a comparable item will be sent. In the case that a comparable product is unavailable, you will be contacted directly by a Hartmann representative.

- If the product is repairable and not covered under warranty, you may either have the product returned to you un-repaired, or have the product repaired at your own expense.  This will be communicated to you by the Authorized Repair Center.

- If the product is not repairable and not covered under warranty, you can elect to have the Authorized Repair Center send the product back to you un-repaired, or you may ask the Authorized Repair Center to dispose of the product.

American Tourister Authorized Repair Center & Policy

Delsey Authorized Repair Center & Policy

If you bring your product to a Non-authorized Service Center any price charged for the repair, and any defect caused by their work, will not be covered by the Warranty.

Warranty against defects

Depending on the product, DELSEY offers a Worldwide Limited 2, 5 or 10 Year Warranty, or a Lifetime Warranty (Warranty Period) against defects in material and workmanship, computed from the date of purchase. To find the length of the Warranty Period, please see the product labeling, the hangtag, and the documentation provided with the product.

Please retain your receipt, and Warranty Notice or Warranty Hangtag, as these documents will be necessary for you to exercise your warranty rights.

Warranty coverage

DELSEY warrants each of the DELSEY products against defects in materials or workmanship ("defects") for the Warranty Period identified on the product label, computed from the date of shipment of the product by DELSEY (or its agent or distributor). ("Warranty").

If a product is repaired or replaced during the Warranty Period, the replacement product or part will be warranted for the remainder of the Warranty Period of the original product, or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage.

Exclusions

The Warranty only applies to products manufactured by or for DELSEY that can be identified by the DELSEY trademark or logo affixed to them. The Warranty does not apply to any non-DELSEY product, even if packaged or sold with a DELSEY product.

• Others exclusions include:

• Defects that come from normal wear and tear;

• Defects caused by accident, neglect, abuse, misuse, misapplication, or non-DELSEY products;

• Defects caused by exposure to extreme natural conditions, liquids, or gases;

• Defects caused by handling by third parties (such as airlines, hotels, etc);

• Defects caused by service (including repairs) performed by anyone other than a DELSEY authorized representative;

• A product that has been modified without DELSEY's permission;

Any DELSEY product whose serial number has been removed or defaced, or if the displayed serial number does not correspond to the nature, type, or origin of the product.

Remedies

If a product fails to meet the Warranty during the applicable Warranty Period, at its option DELSEY will:

• Repair the product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts;

• Exchange the product with a product that is new or that has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product; or

Ricardo Authorized Repair Center & Policy

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE

Should you require service for your luggage, please locate your nearest authorized Service Center. Our authorized Service Centers are always at your disposal for warranted or non-warranted repairs, the latter done at an appropriate charge.

If an authorized Service Center is not near you, you may complete the Repair Request Form and ship the luggage to the nearest one. Detailed instructions are included in the form. The authorized Service Center will make one of the following determinations:

Your luggage is repairable and covered under warranty: 

Ricardo Beverly Hills will repair it free of charge and return it to you, at the return address provided in the Repair Request Form

Your product is not repairable, but it is covered under warranty:

- If the same luggage is in stock, a new one will be sent to you.

- If the same luggage is not in stock, a comparable one will be sent to you. In case a comparable one is not available, you will be notified to visit our online store at www.ricardobeverlyhills.com and pick one of similar value

- Your luggage is repairable but NOT covered under warranty: 

- You may chose to either have the product returned to you unrepaired or have the product repaired at your own expense

- Your product is not repairable, and it is NOT covered under warranty:

You may chose to either have the product returned to you unrepaired or have the Service Center dispose of the product

Ricardo Beverly Hills reserves the right to evaluate and make the final judgment on all claims. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary from state to state.
